UAB professor named one of Foreign Policy Magazine’s 100 Leading Global Thinkers of 2016

Remember UAB associate professor, Sarah Parcak, Ph. D., otherwise known as the 21st-century Indiana Jones? From becoming one of the nation’s top innovators to winning the Smithsonian’s 2016 American Ingenuity Award, Dr. Parcak has consistently proven herself to be an inspirational figure not only in the UAB community but the world. 21st Century Indiana Jones in our midst – UAB’s Sarah Parcak

UAB’s Sarah Parcak, the much acclaimed space archeologist, National Geographic Explorer and TED Prize winner  “wants to make the world’s invisible history visible once again.”

Her plan: Launch in 2017 GlobalXplorer, the first of its kind online citizen science platform that will train an army of Indiana Jones global explorers.
