Whether it’s understanding a note from your doctor or the beauty of humanity found in Freytag’s pyramid, reading, along with reading comprehension, are two abilities that allow us to navigate the world successfully.

Sometimes I take these endowments for granted, like when I am assembling furniture from IKEA.
