Taste of Teal Virtual Gala

The Laura Crandall Brown Foundation will be holding its annual Taste of Teal Gala virtually, kicking off Derby weekend, from May 1 – May 14th. As we are a healthcare organization, the health of our Patrons always comes first.

Taste of Teal is LCBF’s largest fundraising event of the year, supporting our important mission of expanding early detection ovarian cancer research, supporting those in our community faced with a gynecologic cancer diagnosis, and providing awareness about GYN cancer.

Dinners are now available for purchase starting at $150 and include a Gourmet Dinner and a chance to win a Trip for Four to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Virtual tables are available for purchase starting at $1,200 and include the Gourmet Dinners and multiple chances to win the trip. The Gourmet Dinners, in partnership with Smiley Brothers Specialty Foods, include Filet Mignon, Twice-Baked Potato, Roasted Asparagus, Salad, Cheesecake w/ Kentucky Bourbon Sauce. The Deadline to Order is April 20th & Pick-Up Dates will be April 28th – May 1st.

September in Birmingham: A Guide to National Observances

There’s a lot of national observances on any given day. Some well known and loved like International Talk Like a Pirate Day, some less so, like Squirrel Appreciation Day. Some are for a good cause, some are just fun, and others have dedicated followings (like Hobbit Day).
