There are two types of people in this world: those who love thrill-of-the-hunt bargain shopping and those who would rather poke their own eye out than dig for a sale. Belonging squarely in the deal-loving, thrifty-to-the-core category, I decided to take a deep dive into the freshly stocked bins at Crazy Cazboy’s. Alabama Peanut Co. leases historic Morris Avenue location

Drop by Alabama Peanut Co. on Morris Avenue, and you will find proprietor Jaime Thursby open for business – while undertaking renovations and learning the ropes of peanut roasting from building owner John Cassimus. You will also be enveloped by the most heavenly aroma of peanuts. It’s what happens in Birmingham when an energetic entrepreneur converges with the steward of a 111-year-old peanut roasting facility.
