SUMMARY:Ride of Silence
DESCRIPTION:200 plus cyclists from Birmingham will participate in the global Ride Of  Silence  in Birmingham Alabama. Ride of Silence is part of a Global initiative that was created back in 2003 as a result of a cycling related death in Dallas Texas.  1000 riders attended the first ever event to memorialize Larry Schwartz.  \nThe mission of the world wide Ride of Silence is to honor bicyclists killed by motorists\, promote sharing the road\, and provide awareness of bicycling safety. \nWe in Birmingham have been participating in this event for over 10 years now as it has grown to over 150 countries globally.   \nPut another way… \nWHY DOES THIS ORGANIZATION EXIST? \n    * To HONOR those who have been injured or killed\n    * To RAISE AWARENESS that we are here\n    * To ask that we all SHARE THE ROAD
