The Senior Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Community Impact Department. This includes preparing and editing correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents for the Senior Vice President of Community Impact and the department. A critical piece of the position is prioritizing the most pressing manners, maintaining the SVP’s calendar, and communicating effectively. The Senior Administrative Assistant will work closely with internal departments and external partners. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to communicate and successfully work with diverse individuals and groups.

  • Receptionist skills; visitor hosting, meeting coordination, and telephone proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Senior Vice President’s schedules and appointments
  • As assigned, assist in the preparation of pertinent materials and presentations for the Community Impact and Executive Committees of the United Way Board of Directors.
  • Reconciliation of department purchase cards and provide A/P with corresponding materials
  • Typing, requisitions, reports, correspondence, copying, data entry/retrieval
  • Organization of electronic filing system
  • Coordination of on-site and off-site scheduling
  • Staff Visiting Allocation Teams as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
  • Previous administrative experience required.
  • Experience with the social services field strongly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent technology skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
