To provide leadership and supervision to the UWCA financial stability services team and promote and develop financial stability services and independence statewide.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the service areas to ensure Alabama families have greater financial stability, increase income, build savings and gain and sustain assets.
  • Direct the daily work activities of the CI Financial Stability Programs, including the provision of technical/operational leadership and developing new and/or enhancing the existing work methods, programs, services and processes of the team.
  • Serve as the team leader providing leadership and guidance to staff in administering, evaluating and promoting policy, program and project issues associated with the Financial Stability Initiatives
  • Work with program and department staff to develop educational tools to educate community on importance of good financial health
  • Work with Vice-President of Community Initiatives and staff to manage budgets, develop partnership and funding proposals, complete reports and submit for approval, and set short- and long-term departmental goals and outcomes.
  • Manages caseload of 25-35 IDA clients and provides quality case management and housing counseling services, including monthly budgets and financials plans, to participants in the FSP/FHE program area.
  • Develop and manage-partnerships with outside statewide organizations, including corporate and foundation funders, and represent the organization at conferences, meetings and seminars.
  • Work collaboratively with established national initiatives focused on financial stability.
  • Participate in the Community Initiatives’ Continuous Quality Improvement Plan.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge & Skills

Experience in the areas of financial education, case management, social services. Experience preferred in the development, implementation, and management of programs, including relationships with external consultants, partner organizations, and coalitions. Excellent communication, public speaking and management skills.  Collaborative leadership style and the ability to work collaboratively with a small professional staff. Proven interpersonal community
