Update: Birmingham, Democrat Doug Jones wins Alabama Senate race

He’s our first Democratic senator in 25 years. Alabama votes for character, choosing policy over party.

Roy Moore on a horse is obviously #trending. Yes, he arrived to vote via his trusty steed for the primaries, too. The horse’s name is Sassy, in case you were wondering.

According to WVTM, Jones voted this morning in Birmingham.

This horse thing is big, ya’ll. Pretty sure all of America thinks every Alabamian owns at least one animal for transportation purposes. Actually, I am OK with this. I love horses. Also, Jeff Sessions voted, SFGate also reports.

“A little over an hour after polls opened, President Trump tweeted that the people of Alabama ‘will do the right thing,’ and he attacked Democrat Doug Jones as ‘Pro-Abortion, weak on Crime, Military and Illegal Immigration, Bad for Gun Owners and Veterans and against the WALL.’ He called Jones ‘a Pelosi/Schumer Puppet’ and declared that ‘Roy Moore will always vote with us.’
