Up and at ’em Birmingham! It’s time to make the most of these beautiful fall days. What better way to start the day than with a refreshing shake from Magic City Nutrition and a stroll around the Market at Pepper Place.

Magic City Nutrition is located in The Battery and is right down the road from Pepper Place. They sell nutritional shakes that satisfy any sweet tooth and energy teas for an early morning pick me up.

Fall and the Market at Pepper Place go together like Saturdays and SEC football. Stock up on hand-poured fall candles. Taste some homemade pies. Buy local and seasonal produce that will make you feel like Chef Chris Hastings in the kitchen.

What’s a Saturday in Birmingham without brunch? There are soooo many options to choose from, but my personal fave is Trattoria ZaZa right in the heart of downtown. The restaurant recently got a facelift with Pinterest worthy mid-century modern decor. Not to mention, their French toast is to die for! You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Birmingham doesn’t fall short when it comes to tasty brunch options. Looking for more restaurants to try? We’ve got you covered.

‘Tis the season to shop til you drop. With the holidays just around the corner, it’s time to get a head start on shopping for gifts. Birmingham takes shopping local seriously and the local business scene is booming. Here are a few local gems that have a gift for just about anyone…including you. Treat yo self!

I don’t know about you, but the time change catches me off guard every year. You eat lunch and before you know it, the sun is down! However, you can’t beat a Magic City sunset.

Birmingham’s own iron man, Vulcan, is the perfect place to catch the sunset and get a few pictures for your Instagram. You get amazing views of the city and its golden fall foliage.

5:00 PM – Let the Good Times Roll at The Woolworth

Grab the gang and head over to The Woolworth in Five Points South. This is a one-stop-shop to start off the perfect evening. It’s like an upscale arcade, bar, restaurant, and bowling alley all in one.

Their wings and flatbread? Amazing. Their cocktails? Refreshing. Don’t even get me started on how cool the rooftop bar is! Don’t worry. Although the fall weather may be chilly, there are heaters. Whether you’re hanging with the fam or friends, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Keep the good times rolling just a few steps from The Woolworth at Five Points South’s newest bar, Unplugged. This 90’s-inspired bar will have you feeling nostalgic for the good ole days when MTV still played actual music.

The menu features drinks with names like “Crunk Juice”, “Frozen Gushers” and “That’s My Jam”, you’re sure to have a fun blast to the past. Unplugged is attached to a new-age chicken joint called McFly’s Bird Shoppe. This fast-casual restaurant is perfect for grabbing a late-night bite and jamming out to nostalgic tunes.
