DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Stoneware Clay – Part 2: Glazing\nFall & Winter Version \n** Please Note ** Taking Introduction to Stoneware Clay – Part 1: Hand building is required to take Part 2.\nSign up here:  https://www.universitypickers.com/events/introduction-to-stoneware-clay-part-1-handbuilding/#tribe-tickets__tickets-form \nWhat you will make and learn:\nStudents will learn basic glazing techniques on the items they made in the Introduction\nto Stoneware Clay – Part 1: Handbuilding class.\nWhat is Included:\n∙1-½ to 2 hours (approximately) of instruction and help with projects\n∙Glazes in multiple types and colors for use during the class\n∙All tools needed for use during the class\n∙Kiln firing of items you made (glaze fire to 2267 degrees)\nNotes: \nPlease come in old clothes. You may get a little messy!\nItems glazed during class will be kiln fired and returned to University Pickers in labeled\nbags for each student. \nCost $40 \nAbout the Instructor:\nMy name is Kathie Depew\, and I own Cotton Ridge Designs\, LLC. I have been making\nwheel-thrown and handbuilt pottery on and off since 2006. My family recently moved\nto a house with room for a studio all my own. I have a booth upstairs at University\nPickers\, and I also sell my work at several markets during the year (such as the Greene\nStreet Market\, The Gingerbread Marketplace\, and the Botanical Gardens Wintergreen\nMarket). I’m excited to teach this class because I would love to share my experience and\npassion for clay with others. There are so many teachers in my past that have shared\ntheir skills with me\, and I would love to pass them on! \n
