DESCRIPTION:| 			\n			\n							 \n\n\n\nJoin us for a hands-on cut flower workshop. Allison Creel of Blue Rooster Farms will bring her best seasonal blooms. You’ll learn how to harvest\, condition\, and arrange flowers straight from their field.  She will also explain the farm’s transition from summer blooms to fall blooms and then discuss what they do to prep for cool season flowers. All materials are provided\, and you’ll leave with your own beautiful arrangement. This workshop is for all levels. Please bring your own snips. $35 supply fee included. \nInstructor: Allison Creel\nAllison\, along with her husband Kirk\, own Blue Rooster Farms\, a flower farm located in Shelby County—just down the road from Birmingham. They grow for designers\, special events\, weekly subscriptions and seasonal U-Pick workshops and experiences. There are 30 to 40 different varieties of flowers cultivated each year which means at any given time they have over 10\,000 plants in the ground. What is grown is planned at least a year in advance so there is enough time to order the seeds and prep the soil properly. All their flowers are nurtured with sustainable practices\, without the use of synthetic chemicals and always with their customers in mind. DESCRIPTION:August 1 – 31  \nJoin our monthly spice club for curious cooks! Each month\, pick up a FREE “take-and-make” kit featuring a different herb\, spice\, or spice blend. Each kit will contain information\, history\, and fun facts about the spice\, as well as four recipes and a premeasured packet of the selected spice. DESCRIPTION:Your Birmingham Zoo is excited to announce Dino Safari will stomp\, roar\, and rumble into the Zoo beginning March 4\, running through November 1\, 2026. This larger-than-life prehistoric adventure will feature some of the world’s biggest and most scientifically accurate robotic dinosaurs roaming throughout the Zoo grounds. \nAs part of this immersive experience\, guests can also enjoy the new VR movie\, Dinosaur: Evolution\, transporting audiences 65 million years into the past. \n       \nA Prehistoric Adventure Awaits \nTravel back in time and encounter roaring\, breathing giants scattered throughout the Zoo to create an authentic dinosaur safari feel. Highlights include: \n\nTwenty three dinos including one of the tallest dinosaurs ever created — a Brachiosaurus standing 35 feet high; a 40-foot-long Tyrannosaurus rex alongside its baby; and a Triceratops the size of a food truck.\nTwo dinosaur nests – one with three Oviraptor babies and another with five Maiasaura hatchings.\nAn 8 ft. by 8 ft. dig pit featuring a variety of dinosaur fossils.\nA massive Tyrannosaurus rex photo op area in the Zoo’s Plaza\n\n“The dinosaurs are scattered throughout your Birmingham Zoo to give an authentic dinosaur safari feel as guests enjoy their visit\,” said Chris Pfefferkorn\, President and CEO of the Birmingham Zoo. “The Dino Safari experience features 23 full-sized dinosaurs uniquely created under direct scientific supervision. Unlike other robots\, these dinosaurs move\, breathe\, and roar\, appealing to guests of all ages. Dino Safari and the Dinosaur VR film are entertaining while teaching important conservation messages.” \nDino Safari was created by world-renowned dinosaur authority Don Lessem\, founder of Dino Don\, Inc.\, and advisor to Steven Spielberg on Jurassic Park.
