SUMMARY:Wildflower Walkabout
DESCRIPTION:| \n \n \n\n\n\nWander through the Kaul Wildflower Garden with environmental educator and habitat gardener Michelle Reynolds and open your eyes to the abundance of plant diversity that contributes to Alabama’s ranking as #4 in the nation for natural diversity. Learn how to draw on this rich environment to inform your plant palette and gardening style at home. \nParticipants will practice using iNaturalist to identify plants they see on their own walkabouts. Especially suited for native plant enthusiasts and people with a bit of an explorer in them! \nGarden paths are uneven. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. \nLocation: Kaul Wildflower Garden \nInstructor: Michelle Reynolds\nMichelle Reynolds\, a writer\, artist\, naturalist\, and native plant enthusiast\, is on a mission to teach people how to put nature back into the urban landscape. She leads native plant garden projects\, habitat restoration efforts\, and field trips for local and regional organizations. Through her writing\, art\, and programs\, she hopes to raise public awareness of the importance of creating wildlife habitats and help people connect to larger ecological issues. \n\n\n \n \nBecome a Friend of the Gardens and join us in our mission to protect\, nurture\, and share the wonders of Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
