ONLINE Course: Audubon at Home: Birding by Habitat

Birding beyond your backyard offers the opportunity to expand your knowledge of birds and gain a better appreciation for the bird diversity in this state. And because Alabama has a wealth of habitats within her borders, it’s no surprise that an array of species has adapted to and exploits this diversity. Come along with our instructor, Greg Harber, as we explore Alabama’s birds and learn where to find them.


Field Trip: Tuscaloosa—Lake Lurleen and surrounding area

We will start the day off at Lake Lurleen State Park, just northwest of Tuscaloosa. After lunch, we will take the opportunity to visit a friend’s farm in Gordo—with the possibility of buying fresh day-lilies. Join us!

AT Adventure: Yellow Creek Gap to NOC
