SUMMARY:Grease Sing-A-Long – Summer Movie
DESCRIPTION:Buy Tickets\nPlan Your Visit \n \nDoors open 6 p.m.\, show at 7 p.m. \nTickets are $13 each (including sales tax and processing fees). Children ages two and younger are free of charge. Seating is general admission\, first come\, first served. Doors open one hour before showtime\, and the screening will begin with a sing-along accompanied by the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ. \n1978 | Rated PG | 1 hour 50 minutes\nGood girl Sandy Olsson and greaser Danny Zuko fell in love over the summer. When they unexpectedly discover they’re now in the same high school\, will they be able to rekindle their romance? \nSong lyrics will be displayed on the screen during the film so fans can sing along! \nWhy aren’t there more movies this summer?\nLike last summer\, we have made the difficult decision to close the Alabama Theatre for several weeks this summer to conduct a major maintenance project. This year we will replacing the electrical switchgear that brings electricity into the Alabama Theatre direct from Alabama Power. This switchgear is original to the theatre and was installed in 1927\, so it’s time for an upgrade! This project is many years in the making and will require the building to be without power for days and weeks at a time. We will be closed for several weeks mid-July through mid-August to complete the work! \nBecause of this work\, we unfortunately are not able to present a full Summer Film Series this year. Truthfully\, the summer movies are typically not a profitable event for us. Because of our limited schedule this year\, we have decided to show two fan favorites to make sure that the largest group of fans gets to enjoy a movie at the Alabama. We are hopeful that by having a few well attended movies\, we will be better able to achieve our mission of preserving and protecting the Alabama Theatre for years to come. \nParking Info:\nThe Alabama Theatre is not responsible for parking and does not provide any free parking.\nParking meters are free after 6pm on weekdays and all day on Saturday and Sunday.\nPlease be aware of tow-away zones. SUMMARY:Napoleon Dynamite: A Conversation with Jon Heder\, Efren Ramirez & Jon Gries
DESCRIPTION:This unique evening includes a full screening of Napoleon Dynamite followed by a lively\, freewheeling\, discussion with fan-favorite cast members; Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite)\, Jon Gries (Uncle Rico) and Efren Ramirez (Pedro). \nThe live show – perfect for the whole family — is a wild and hysterical blend of Q&A\, comedy improv\, game show\, and party\, with plenty of audience participation. Come join the fun and help celebrate this wonderful movie classic! \nThe beloved indie classic Napoleon Dynamite was released 20 years ago. Since then\, much has changed; but the characters\, as enduring as they are endearing\, stay in our hearts. \nAppealing to the inner-teenager in each of us\, the story\, and more importantly the dialogue\, makes Napoleon Dynamite one of the most quoted movies of our time. \nNapoleon Dynamite makes us laugh – and laugh hard – over and over again.
