DESCRIPTION:Join us for a members-only social and tour to celebrate the opening of our recently reinstalled Ancient American Gallery on Thursday\, November 20\, from 6 to 7 p.m. \nYou’ll have the chance to meet Museum curators and staff\, as well as explore works from the BMA’s newly reimagined Ancient American gallery. Spanning nearly 2\,000 years of artistry from Indigenous cultures across Central and South America and the Caribbean\, these objects reveal enduring traditions of creativity\, spirituality\, and community. The event will begin with a brief welcome from Graham C. Boettcher\, PhD\, R. Hugh Daniel Director\, followed by an introduction to the gallery by co-curators Katelyn D. Crawford\, PhD\, the William Cary Hulsey Curator of American Art and Hina Zaidi\, Curatorial Assistant.
