To engage with our community\, help build connections among members of our surrounding areas\, and deliver a fun break on a normal Friday night. \nNow I know you may be asking\, “What is Party on the Porch?” What started as a fun way to engage with our local neighborhood has snowballed into something bigger—and we can’t wait to introduce a brand-new Party on the Porch. \nNow\, if you’ve been to one of our POPs before\, you probably remember how distinct it was. Drinks\, a band\, some areas for cornhole\, and more. However\, we’ve decided that our beloved POP needed a rebrand\, so we’ve decided to shake it up! And don’t worry\, we’re listing all our fun new additions below\, so you can get the full picture of what is to come! \n1. Free Admission \nWe know that sometimes it’s fun to go out and try events around town—so we want to make that experience as seamless as possible! Enjoy free admission to make friends\, build community\, and explore the Homewood area. \n2. Philanthropy \nOur Party on the Porch will be benefiting Darling Grey’s Philanthropy. Darling Grey is not only a brand we carry but also a mission we strongly support. They are dedicated to helping survivors of human trafficking find jobs\, resources\, and support. We are honored to support their mission with donations\, no matter how big or small! \n3. Free Drinks for Donors (21+) \nAs a thank you to those who donate $10 or more to Darling Grey’s philanthropy\, we are offering free drinks! (As long as you are over 21). Think of it as our way of paying it forward and thanking you for supporting their cause. \n4. Live DJ \nWe’re keeping the tunes flowing with a live DJ. Look forward to a lively atmosphere with family-friendly tracks everyone can enjoy \n5. Par-Tees Pars Golf Simulator \nWe’re excited to have Par-Tees Par Golf Simulator on-site for all the golfers. Featuring a fun\, inflatable golf simulator\, you can try out courses like Ross Bridge\, Pebble Beach\, and Augusta National \n6. Shopping Spree Giveaway \nEvery donation to Darling Grey also enters you for a chance to win our raffle! We will be giving away a $100 gift card every 30 minutes from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Every 30 minutes when we pull from the raffle\, the winner must be present to win. Make sure to hold onto your tickets to see if you’re one of our winners! \n7. Exclusive Merch \nWe will have exclusive Party on the Porch merchandise available! Show off your attendance in style with pieces that can only be bought at this event. \n8. Fun Food Trucks \nWith this POP revamp\, we’ve decided to reach out to local vendors and have many options for food at our event. We have Eugene’s Hot Chicken\, a Birmingham staple that serves hot chicken you’ll swear came from Nashville itself. Next\, we have Wasabi Juan’s– a sushi burrito spot that has charmed everyone who has had it. Unlike the typical sushi burrito place\, Wasabi Juan’s is a true Mexican Japanese fusion spot\, blending the two cuisines into something seriously delicious. In the mood for something sweet? Don’t worry\, we’ve made sure to book Sweet Chill and South Fizz Soda\, two options that will help that sweet craving at the end of the night. \nWe cannot wait to see you at our Party on the Porch! The auction will feature an eclectic collection of unique\, profound\, quirky\, and sophisticated paintings and mixed media works reflecting the creativity and diversity of Birmingham’s artistic community. \nInToto Creative Arts is a Birmingham nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to the transformative power of the arts for people affected by homelessness\, mental illness\, post-traumatic stress\, disability\, and other significant life challenges. Through year-round arts programming across six local community service partners and ongoing opportunities to showcase artwork in the community\, InToto helps amplify voices that are often unheard while supporting steps toward stability\, connection\, and reintegration through creativity.\nProceeds from this event support roughly 600 classes each year across Birmingham\, attended more than 4\,000 times by about 700 community members. DESCRIPTION:Prevention Fest is a free\, family-friendly day built around 33 activity stations across six zones at Black Creek Park in Fultondale. The Wellness Zone offers free vaccines\, free microchipping\, and low-cost spay and neuter sign-ups from local vets and rescue partners. The Education Zone has live training demonstrations and one-on-one help from trainers and behavior specialists. The Fun Zone has face painting\, a kids corner\, a photo booth\, and a pet parade. The Adoption Zone features adoptable pets from partner shelters and rescues plus post-adoption education to help adopters succeed. Food trucks will be on site. Everything is free and open to the public\, no registration required.
