This Week at Unity Market!

October 17, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm

free entry

Unity Market is back this week with some amazing new vendors! We started Birmingham’s cutest pop up market this summer, hosting local food and farm businesses that all share a passion for sustainable food systems. Now we’re thrilled to be welcoming local artists and makers into the lineup, too! Please keep us in mind for your grocery and holiday shopping this year! Our plan is to continue through the month of October with weekly markets on Saturdays from 4-7pm, and then, starting in November, we’ll kick off our Winter Market schedule with monthly markets on the first Saturday of the month from November to February, and expanding our hours a bit to 3-7pm. When our monthly winter markets start in November, we’ll be keeping a fire going and serving hot drinks to keep you warm, and we’ll have food trucks and live music for your entertainment! You’ll be able to come during the daylight, stay for sunset, and then watch the market lights come up as the band starts playing!

Pop over to the lawn or the park right across the street to enjoy, or take it home to someone you love – these make amazingly adorable gifts! Check in for updates on weekly basket contents.

VOTER REGISTRATION:

Come see Andy and get your voter registration taken care of! He’ll help you get your driver’s license copied and get you signed up for mail-in absentee ballot voting so you can avoid those long lines this year! Everyone is eligible for absentee voting this year. It’s more important than ever to have your voice heard, so don’t let the voter registration deadline pass you by!

LECTURES ON THE LAWN:

This is a weekly community event sponsored by Unity Market that starts every Saturday right after the market at 7pm. Each week we invite a new speaker – someone who is doing big and beautiful things in our community – to come out and share their insight with a small, distanced group on blankets and chairs on the lawn. We’re excited to welcome this week’s speaker is Dena Dickerson, Program Director at Offender Alumni Association! See you on the lawn right after the market!

THANK YOU:

Thank you so much for being a part of our vision to support people and businesses that are doing good work in our community and to build up our local economy! Shop local, buy real food from farmers, support artists, and shower some love on your city with us at Unity Market!
