Testing for PFAS in Mobile Bay and Alabama waters and the Risks of these Chemicals!Presentation with discussion by Michael Freeman, President of the Alabama Water Watch Association, and with Auburn University Environmental Health and Safety.
Michael will provide answers to questions surrounding PFAS, and will discuss the routes of contamination, the effects these chemicals have had on humans, wildlife, drinking water, and what the Federal Government is trying to do in response to this new pollutant.PFAS do no break down naturally in the environment.
Over the years PFOS, PFAS and PFOA have found their way into our water, soil and the air as a result of manufacturing, point source release and release from products.When: Tuesday Evening, September 3rd at 6:00 p.m.Refreshments will be served at 6:00 p.m. and the program will begin at 6:30 p.m.
