About this event

Surviving Well: Wellness Classes after a Cancer Diagnosis

Join Ascension St. Vincent’s and Forge to learn how nutrition and exercise can maximize quality of life for cancer survivors and their loved ones. Each class includes wellness education, hands-on cooking demonstrations, and yoga therapy.

Classes will meet in-person on Tuesdays from 11am-1pm at Lakeshore Foundation from April 19th to May 10th (a 4-week series). Participants are encouraged to attend all 4 sessions. Those who complete all 4 sessions will take home wellness goodies to implement what they learn at home. No previous experience with cooking or yoga is required to participate.

This series is open to anyone who is or has been treated for cancer at Ascension St. Vincent’s, participated in an Ascension St. Vincent’s cancer support group, attended Camp Bluebird, or is part of Forge’s breast cancer community. Class size is limited to 20 participants so register today if you’d like to attend.

For questions, call Alaina at 205-838-6159 or email programs@forgeon.org.
