Sunset Hike and Camp at McDill Point/Cheaha
April 8, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - April 9, 2023 @ 1:00 pm
We will meet at the Cheaha Trailhead Parking lot at 5:00pm and will begin the hike at 5:15pm **SHARP!!**
We will start this hike at the Cheaha Trailhead and hike South on the Pinhoti trail to McDill Point, We will watch the Sunset from the overlook below McDill Point and camp at/near McDil Point.
The Moon should be Full and bright during the night of this outting.
Everyone is required to bring headlamp or flashlight with fresh batteries
Everyone planning on camping must bring all camping gear and Be sure to bring plenty of water as there are no water sources at or near McDill Point.
Overall this hike will be about 6 miles out and back and is rated as Moderate.
