Your Birmingham Zoo will be open on the Memorial Day holiday, Monday May 29th, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. In honor of the holiday, all veterans, active and retired military, including their dependents (up to six) will receive FREE admission to the Birmingham Zoo throughout Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29, with proof of valid military identification. Complementary admission is provided by Trinka Davis Foundation.

Zoo guests can enjoy seasonal favorites and special activities including the Junior League of Birmingham Hugh Kaul Children’s Zoo and Splash Pads and animal encounters! Giraffe Feedings* at the Kiwanis Giraffe Encounter, and rides on the Red Diamond Express Train*. Meet and feed the Zoo’s beloved lorikeets in the Lorikeet Aviar as we welcome the summer season!
