MADE IN THE USA — A Concert Uniting Our Community In Celebration of Presidents Day

Cahaba Chamber Chorale is pleased to present their next concert in partnership with the Ramsay IB High School Choral Department and American Village. A unique musical tribute to be held during American Village’s annual celebration that honors the Father of Our Country, George Washington.
This community event is designed to unite all, provide hope, and elevate the ideals of what it means to be an American, engaging the spirit of our Founders and their aspirations for our Nation – Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness. A common thread that we all share as Americans.
The combined choirs, featuring professional vocalists from across the southeast and young high school students, will present Randall Thompson’s Testament of Freedom, based on the writings of Thomas Jefferson. Other selections will include Somewhere from West Side Story, Zion’s Walls, and Lift Every Voice and Sing. The concert, entitled Made in the USA, includes classical, jazz, and spiritual choral selections all by American composers from across the generations.
Join us at American Village for this festive concert while also enjoying the various events of the day. Visitors to the American Village on President’s Day will enjoy family-friendly activities with their staff of costumed historical interpreters from 10am to 4pm, and can share birthday cake with George Washington at noon.
