Free Stained Glass Tour

This class will take place at


Independent Presbyterian Church.

We will open up our stained glass courses with a field trip discussing and showcasing some of the most beautiful and elaborate stained glass Birmingham has to offer. This field trip will cover modern and historical stained glass crafting, how stained glass is made, and we will also touch on restoration, and the general history of glass.

Throughout the summer every weekend stained glass classes will be offered starting with beginner courses in the month of June, intermediate classes in the month of July at Red Mountain Makers. And ending in advanced classes in August. There are No prerequisites required for any of the classes.

Age: there are no age restrictions to the class. Please read carefully the disclaimers and guidelines

What to wear: At RMM, you must dress safely and appropriately. Arrive for class in all-natural fiber clothing (100% cotton), long pants, and closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair must be tied back. Nylon, polyester, spandex, or other synthetics are not allowed around machines, equipment, or processes that can produce hot fragments, sparks, or flames. Additional protective gear will be provided as needed. The CDC has a guide to acceptable cloth masks that help prevent the spread of infection.
