Drop-In Drawing

November 18, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Explore what’s on view at the Museum and sketch a selected work of art with teaching artist Jamison Harper. Learn about the artistic drawing process and how to begin a composition. You provide the creativity. We’ll provide the supplies. Open to adults and high school students who are accompanied by an adult.

No registration necessary.

Drop-in Drawing Dates:

August 19, 2018 We will use Hagar and Ishmael Saved by the Angel by Sebastiano Ricci as the starting point for our drawing class.

September 16, 2018 We will be inspired by On Moonless Nights…by Chitra Ganesh.

October 21, 2018 We will focus on Chris McNair’s artwork, Sixteen Street Baptist Church, found in the For Freedoms Exhibition

November 18, 2018  We will look at Pablo Picasso’s  Mother and Child lithograph from the exhibition Ways of Seeing: An Exploration of Line.

December 16, 2018 We will be inspired by Christ with Instruments of the Passion by Jacopo d’Arcangelo del Sellaio in the exhibition Embodying Faith: Imagining Jesus through the Ages.
