Shorebird nesting season is starting on the Gulf Coast! Help us get the beaches ready by cleaning up litter and learn about the work our Coastal Bird Stewardship Program does here in Alabama.

Hosted by Alabama Audubon. All are welcome to come and stay as long as you can!

Note: There is a $10 parking fee for Dauphin Island public beaches for non-Dauphin Island residents.

The details: Meetup is at 9 a.m. at the West End Public Beach at Dauphin Island (Bienville Blvd.). All are welcome! (Note: $10 parking fee for non-Dauphin Island residents.)

As always, remember to bring water, sunblock, insect repellent, rain gear, and seasonally appropriate attire. If you have your own work gloves, you may want to bring those as well.

Our coastal stewardship work is supported by National Audubon Society through funding from the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Through more than seventy-five years of conservation work in one of our nation’s most ecologically rich states, Alabama Audubon has seen firsthand how diversity strengthens natural communities. We believe that the same principle applies to human communities, which is why our organization is committed to providing equitable opportunities for all Alabamians to learn about and enjoy wild birds, their habitats, and the natural world. One of the best ways to support that belief is by valuing and actively seeking to strengthen diversity among our staff, our board, and our membership. To that end, Alabama Audubon welcomes the whole of our community to our work, and strives to make our programs, classes, and events open and accessible to all.
