Community Caroling & Tree Lighting (Trussville)

November 27, 2022 @ 4:30 pm 6:00 pm

1. Community Caroling & Tree Lighting | Sunday, November 27

The beautiful Christmas tree at the historic Trussville Mall. (Jacob Blankenship / Bham Now)

There’s no better way to kick off the Christmas season than this Community Caroling & Tree Lighting hosted by the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with presenting sponsor First Baptist Church Trussville.

Back for its 4th year, this delightful event shows the true meaning of community as businesses, churches and locals come together in holiday spirit for fun, family and good times.

On Sunday, November 27 from 4:30-6PM, grab the family for a magical time filled with:

  • Musical performances by Trussville City Schools elementary school choirs, the Hewitt-Trussville High School Jazz Band, and more
  • Booths offering coffee, hot chocolate + cookies
  • Exciting giveaways + tons of kids’ activities
  • Lots of photo ops
  • Visits with Santa
  • And more!

As the evening draws to a close, gather round for the jingle of 1,000 bells as Trussville’s Mayor Choat gives the signal to light the city’s 50-foot Christmas tree. Trust me when I say it’s quite a tree!

“When we say this is a community event, we mean it. This is one of the best examples of an old-fashioned, cooperative effort, and there’s no better way to kick off the holidays. It’s a favorite with the Trussville Chamber staff, and we love putting it together.”June Mathews, Executive Director, Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce
