Adventure Begins At Your Library when you sign up for Summer Reading!
The Birmingham Public Library is hosting its Summer Reading Kick-Off this Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Avondale Park behind the Avondale Regional Branch Library.
Join us for a kick-off carnival to sign up for Summer Reading & enjoy games & prizes, crafts, face painting, a balloon artist, a bouncy inflatable, Kona Ice snow cones, Chick-fil-A, & so much more. Patrons can also enjoy a petting zoo farm bus, a plant bus, & a game bus. Our community partners at Parks & Rec, Birmingham Legion, & Vulcan will be there to join in on the fun!
This program is free & open to the public. Patrons can still sign up for Summer Reading if they miss the kick-off by visiting their local BPL library.
