Atlanta Botanical Gardens – Lets fall down the rabbit hole
October 5, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 pm
Have wanted to go to Atlanta Botanical Gardens for a few years now.
There is this exhibit they are having that is of Alice and Wonderland and it looks spectacular.
New in Atlanta, 2019
In Atlanta, a giant White Rabbit towers at more than 27 feet tall as it floats inside an upside-down umbrella in the Skyline Garden pond. That tops even the Garden’s resident Earth Goddess sculpture, at 22 feet. On the Skyline lawn is an expansive chess board bordered by nine heart “trees” each more than 12 feet tall, with a giant Cheshire Cat poised nearby. Alice herself is on hand – just elsewhere in the Garden. Who’s up for the challenge of finding her?
It looks to me like tickets are $ 21.95 and pretty sure you can get your tickets at the gate.

Lets meet at 8:00 am at the Hoover Library ( top parking lot closest to the Hoover Senior Center and Municipal Drive) . It will be 9:00 there time , but we could get there by 10:00 am possibly and have some time to enjoy the gardens.
Yes they have a few places to choose from for a bite to eat while at the Gardens
Walk-in guests are welcome, though reservations are recommended.
Garden admission is required to dine at Longleaf, the Quick Café or the Snack Bar.
Tues. – Sun.: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.*
*Last seating at 6:30 p.m.
I say we spend time at the gardens .. eat .. spend a little more time at the gardens and if have time go over to Ponce City Market to walk around and browse through shops
I would like to stay as long as possible at the gardens and then if we want to go to Ponce City market which is just 10 minutes from the gardens we can, but if we don’t make it then it will be all the more reason to go back to Atlanta to do some more exploring 🙂
Re-entry to the garden after leaving the garden is not permitted. I just got a message from them and they told me that as well as told me it should only take 3 hours to tour everything. I say we tour the gardens, eat , then tour a bit more and stay a little while longer. They are open from 9 am to 7 pm .. so we should have plenty of time to enjoy everything and get our money’s worth
Indeed you can, tickets may be purchased at Garden Admissions which is located in the Hardin Visitor Center
