3rd Annual Dog Days at Discovery

Dog Days at Discovery is an event where pets and their people can meet, greet, play, hear live music, shop, eat, make and see art, plus much more – all at Discovery UMC in the Trace Crossings Neighborhood of Hoover.
Our Third Annual Dog Days will be October 12, 2019 10 am – 2 pm
The event is free and fun for the whole family, including Fido!
Well-behaved dogs and children are welcome; dogs must be on-leash. We will have activities for pets and people, live music, food trucks, an art show, and a costume contest. Let your pet make a run on the agility course. Exhibitors include all manner of pet-related businesses and there will be opportunities for pet adoptions.
In addition, Pastor Mike Skelton, will conduct a Blessing of the Pets ceremony in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and ecology, who expressed his devotion to God through his love for all of God’s creation.
This year we have also added a Silent Auction!
