Foo Fighters have announced three tour dates this summer, including the Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Pelham. The band is scheduled to play June 16, 2023.
Foo Fighters play Birmingham for the first time since 2017
Foo Fighters are finally back in Birmingham for the first time in almost 6 years. The announcement came today in an Instagram post by Foo Fighters:
The newly confirmed dates add to a 2023 touring line-up of festivals including Bonnaroo, Boston Calling, Harley-Davidson Homecoming and more.
This tour will be the first since the death of beloved Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins last year. The band, in a statement on their Instagram, said:
“Without Taylor, we could have never become the band we were– and without Taylor, we know that we are going to be a different band going forward. We also know that you, the fans, meant as much to Taylor as he meant to you and we know that when we see you again— and we will soon— he’ll be there in spirit with all of us every night.”
