Momentum has been cultivating women’s leadership throughout the state of Alabama since 2001. Along the way, they’ve learned a few things that led them to develop and launch Momentum Matters now:

  • Women make up half the population and enter the workforce at the same rate as men.
  • In government, executive leadership and board rooms, women are usually less than 20%.
  • There are a LOT of reasons for that disparity.
  • Women can be very creative and resourceful in overcoming the barriers to leadership.

Momentum Matters is the place where you’ll hear real talk from women leaders and the men who support them. You’ll hear tales from their journey, including lessons learned and their best advice.

The goal is to inspire women everywhere to lead at every level and share some of the skill that it takes to get there. And, to help everyone have the kinds of courageous conversations that create change.

If you’re inspired by women who’ve faced challenges and won, Momentum Matters is for you.

What to expect: the episodes

Liz Huntley + April Benetollo in Momentum Matters’ inaugural episode.

Each episode lasts about 30 minutes, and you’ll find a new one every other week.
