ICYMI: here’s what you need to know about The Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham
Since 1996, The Women’s Fund has worked towards increasing economic opportunity for women across the state through philanthropy, research, and advocacy.
“The Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham is building a stronger Alabama by investing in women.”
Melanie R. Bridgeforth, President & CEO

For example, The Women’s Fund invests in post-secondary education, job training, and affordable childcare. But investing is just one of many ways The Women’s Fund effects change in Alabama.
In addition, The Women’s Fund is a significant advocate for a more equitable and inclusive workforce. It also conducts valuable research that helps make those changes possible across the state.
Smart moves for a smarter Alabama

The Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham hosted its first Smart Party in 2012. This live and online crowdfunding event has subsequently become its signature fundraiser. Now, hundreds of change-makers and mountain-movers unite to support The Women’s Fund through Smart Party.
“Smart Party is an opportunity for people to join our community of philanthropists and leverage the power of collective giving to be a bold force for gender equity.”
Melanie R. Bridgeforth, President & CEO

Smart Party exists to both honor the region’s smartest women and raise support so that others can do the same.
When you purchase a ticket to Smart Party 2019, you also receive your own fundraising page. Then, you can share that page with any network or social platform you have to help raise support for The Women’s Fund. There are even prizes for those who make the most of this fundraising opportunity.
