“I am about as laid-back as they come, so when the opportunity arose to open my own restaurant, backyard barbecue was the only menu I considered. It just suits me.”

More Than Just BBQ

While classic barbecue items are prominent, you’ll find a whole lot more at Mark’s Joint, like chicken salad sandwiches, seared ahi sliders and grilled cheese.

Then, there’s a Tex-Mex flare, seen in items like the tacos, nachos and Nina’s Salad, which boasts mixed greens, fresh corn, tortilla chips, avocado, pico, queso fresco and cilantro-lime vinaigrette.

Finally, mix in a dash of meat-and-three, with items like hash brown casserole, fried okra and the ultimate Southern vegetable, mac-and-cheese.

The Vibe

The vibe at Mark’s Joint will be homey and personal, from Snyder’s grandmother’s dinner bell to a framed school assignment from his niece. In that assignment, she wrote about being thankful for “BBQ ribs and candy.” Sounds like a child after my own heart.

Opening Soon

On Facebook, Mark’s Joint announced that it’s opening soon. Bham Now has reached out regarding a more specific timeframe. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear more.
