This year’s event at the EDPA campus will feature 22-year- old Henrique Dubugras, who ​ started his first business at 16. Dubugras co-founded Brex, a San Francisco financial tech company that recently raised $57 million in venture capital and is redefining how corporate credit cards work for startups.

Holly Williams, an Americana singer-songwriter is the owner of H. Audrey, a nationally-acclaimed upscale boutique in her hometown of Nashville. The successful entrepreneur, artist and mom is the granddaughter of Hank Williams Sr., the daughter of Hank Williams Jr. and half-sister of Hank Williams III. She’ll talk about how she balances building her business with being a mom, and she’s going to perform!

Pitch Competition: $150,000 and EDPA Innovation Awards

A $150,000 is up for grabs for the winning pitches in the seed and concept categories in the pitch competition. Alabama’s eight innovation award winners will be recognized including winners of the Lifetime Achievement in Innovation, the Outstanding Startup of the Year and the Social Entrepreneur of the Year. Seven people will also be recognized as imerging Young Leaders.

Birmingham locals the Brummies will perform at the imerge event’s after party, and they’re also playing at Sloss Fest. EDPA will transform its campus with a pop-up atmosphere complete with air conditioning, a professional soundstage, food trucks, beverages and more! Gates open at 2 p.m., and the event begins at 3:30 p.m.
