Everyone knows that at the Regions Tradition, some of the best golfers in the history of the game will be competing May 16th – 20th at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Hoover. College football royalty, including Nick Saban, Gus Malzahn, Kirby Smart and Bo Jackson, also will be on hand competing in the Regions Tradition NCR Pro-Am on Wednesday May 16th as Greystone becomes the Football Capital of the South.

But did you know the Regions Tradition, the Masters of the PGA Tour Champions, is one of the social highlights of the year in the greater Birmingham community?

“The Regions Tradition has always been more than a championship golf tournament,” said Gene Hallman, president and CEO of Bruno Event Team. “It’s an event where families, young couples, college friends — anyone looking for a fun day out — can get together in a beautiful setting. Golf fans naturally are drawn to Greystone, but you don’t have to be a golf fan to enjoy the Regions Tradition. The event continues to grow, and this year promises to be more entertaining than ever.”

Check out the lineup of fun activities and events happening throughout the week.

New this year, the par-3 10th hole at the Greystone Golf and Country Club has been christened “The Watering Hole.” Centrally located and open to the public, the high-energy Watering Hole will be THE place to be with the elevated 10th green as a picturesque backdrop. Just feet from the action in the middle of the roars from an enthusiastic gallery, pick up a cocktail with friends at Tito’s Terrace. Looking for a family friendly area with full concessions? Visit the Michelob Ultra Club. If you’re in search of a more relaxed atmosphere, sip some wine at the William Hill Estate Wine Lounge.

Lexus Hole-in-One Shootout

It’s thrilling to watch major golf champions work their magic. It can be just as entertaining to watch amateurs try to emulate the pros at the Lexus Hole-in-One Shootout on Thursday May 17. As soon as the first round of play concludes on hole No. 18, stick around. A collection of amateurs of varying degrees of skill will gather in the middle of the 18th fairway to take one shot each at the hole. Each and every participant who makes the shot will win a new Lexus. It’ll be like watching a reality show in person.
