BHM26.2 announces The Black Jacket Symphony as musical entertainment for race after-party

BHM26.2, Birmingham’s newest race series, has just announced some exciting news. Party of the Year! will be the musical entertainment for the race’s official after-party at Railroad Park. Brought to you by The Black Jacket Symphony, this show will feature top party hits from the past five decades and today.

“We are honored to have the opportunity to support Magic Moments and the Cancer Center at Children’s of Alabama,” said Jason Rogoff, producer of The Black Jacket Symphony. We aim to keep the ‘experience’ in the forefront of everything that we do, and are excited to bring the experience of our Party of the Year! show to celebrate everyone who completes the race or comes to support these two incredible organizations.”

The BHM26.2 race series is comprised of a marathon, half marathon, five-person team relay and one-mile fun run. Each race will start and finish at Railroad Park. While the City of Birmingham holds many marathons each year, the BHM26.2 race series is the first ever to not include any repeats or loops during the course.

Along with live music from Party of the Year!, BHM26.2’s after-party will also feature:

• A Kids’ Zone provided by Fun Source.
• Meals and refreshments provided by Jim ‘N Nicks Bar-B-Q and Coca-Cola Bottling Co.

All proceeds from the BHM26.2 race series will benefit:

• Magic Moments – the only wish-granting organization devoted exclusively to children in Alabama with chronic life-threatening illnesses; and
• Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s of Alabama – an organization whose goal is to find cures for all children with cancer and serious blood disorders.

Participants of the race will receive one complimentary ticket and can also purchase half-price tickets during registration the day of the race.

For those not participating in the race, tickets to the after-party will be $30 per person; children six and under are free.
