Psst…our Avondale favorites have a new owner.  But don’t worry, your sushi burritos and barbecue will still be as tasty as ever.

Music to my ears

Before October 13th, Avondale Brewing Co., Avondale Common House, Wasabi Juan’s, The Sour Room, Saw’s Soul Kitchen, and Post Office Pies were all owned by a guy named Coby Lake.

Now Colby’s announced he has sold these Avondale favorites to Orchestra Partners.  Let’s just say that like Allstate, Avondale is in good hands with this deal. This realty group has a lot of experience in the innovation department.

Avondale Brewing Co. has also been passed off in this new deal-but don’t worry, all your favorite events and outdoor concerts are staying the same.

Speaking of which, have you heard of our next event coming up at the brewing co?  Grab a friend and join us upstairs to hear from Morgan Copes, the VP of Birmingham’s new pro soccer team.

OP says they are partnering “with an experienced group” (aka Good People Brewing Company) to help run Avondale Brewing Company and keep its brews and tunes as enjoyable as ever.

“In Orchestra Partners, we found an organization with a great vision for Avondale. I enjoyed working with Hunter Renfroe and the whole group at Orchestra. I wish him and his new operators all the best. They’ll do a great job.”

-Colby Lake, Avondale developer

Renfroe and his crew focus on transforming cities in a smart way.  They take communities with raw potential for walkability and make long-term improvements.

With its fun restaurants, bars, and beautiful Avondale Park just a few minutes away from downtown, OP sees the potential to make this area even better.

“Our plans include enhancing walkability and finding better, creative ways of connecting Avondale to the city’s urban core,”

-Hunter Renfroe, Principal of Orchestra Partners

Orchestra Partners have said they are excited about this new property and know the important role it plays in the area’s continued revitalization.
