In 2016, the Birmingham Zoo set attendance records. In 2017, there will be a new reason to visit our first class zoo.

Soon, the zoo will welcome a highly anticipated addition, Khan – a 3 Y.O. Jaguar – will be making his debut!

The new exhibit will be an exciting addition to Alabama’s third most visited tourist attraction.

You can even see the construction of Khan’s new home right now!

Not only will you be able to see firsthand a rare 250 pound cat, the zoo has developed programs to educate visitors about how they can protect this feline.

Khan will have friends next door who have been at the zoo for some time.
