“Box Row” – Avondale – Beginning Construction Soon

A point of pride for the Magic City is the revitalization Avondale has experienced over the last 5 years, and it isn’t slowing down any time soon.

Next up – Box Row will soon add a new flavor of growth within east Birmingham.

Project Details:

Demolition of the old Star Motel, in Avondale, took place earlier in the Fall of 2016. The location for Box Row is perfect for the shops/offices that will reside there; I mean come on, Saws Soul Kitchen is right down the way.

• Developer – Golden Bell Capital, with Daniel Samford as the representative.
• Location – Corner of 3rd Ave. and 42nd St. South
• 14,000 Sq. Feet – Office and retail Space along with restaurant capabilities.

Samford said they ran into a few hurdles during the holidays but that leasing is continuing and a general contractor should be approved soon.

Things are looking up for the anticipated development. There will be a model built, on the property, so future tenants can anticipate the look and aesthetic of the units.

Taking old shipping containers and applying a bit of innovation to it, Box Row will fit right at home in Avondale.
