The Alabama Rivers Alliance announced this week several ways people can “celebrate Alabama’s rivers” over the holidays.

Save Rivers Special Auction

If you love to collect special “river” art, checkout these two special pieces titled “Headwaters” and “Whitewater” by two prominent local artists Murray Johnston and Rick Rush.  Both pieces will be auctioned off with all proceeds benefiting the Alabama Rivers Alliance, Cahaba River Society and Cahaba Riverkeeper.

This online-only auction will run from December 5 – December 16 at 5 pm. To bid, please email Kelly Marshall at kmarshall@alabamarivers.org with your name, the name of the piece you are bidding on, and your highest bid amount. Alabama Rivers Alliance will update this page with the current highest bid and will alert all bidders when the highest bid changes via email.
