Among recent real estate activity in Five Points South, there is much to be said of the future of one of the most famous Birmingham districts, but what’s next?

Projects on projects are hitting Birmingham, and personally I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the Magic City everyday. The latest announcement follows a recent transaction of $3 Million (reported by the BBJ) by a Georgia Investment firm, SJP Investment Partners LLC.

No further information about SJP Investment Partners was available from the Alabama Secretary of State’s website.

As reported earlier, there is a future development that will soon impact the Five Points neighborhood. “The new 22 story high-rise, called Vesta apartments, is a $53 million project being carried out by Harbert Realty Services. It is set to over look Five Points South and accommodate 318 units with a rooftop pool and a 502 space parking deck.”

Like Avondale, 20 Midtown, and Lakeview, Five Points South is going to continue to grow. Although improvements take a while for Birmingham, there is always a need and developers are more than happy to jump toward the opportunities.

There is uncertainty as to what will come out of the transaction, but the way Bham has been exploding, doubt isn’t present.
