New programs to WBHM:

Mountain Stage” – Saturdays at 5 PM

Recorded in front of a live audience, Mountain Stage features performances from seasoned legends and emerging stars in genres ranging from folk, blues, and country; to indie rock, synth pop, world music, alternative, and beyond.

Reveal” – Sundays at 3 PM

Journalists at The Center for Investigative Reporting reveal government fraud and waste of taxpayer funds, human rights violations, environmental degradation and threats to public safety. Consistently shining a bright light on injustice and protecting the most vulnerable in our society.

Snap Judgement” – Fridays at 7 PM

Snap Judgment is a themed, weekly NPR storytelling show focused on presenting compelling personal stories – mixing killer beats with real drama to produce cinematic, dramatic and kick-ass radio.

Further adjustments to the already-airing programs include a rebroadcasting of “Fresh Air” at 7 PM Mondays – Thursdays and an extra hour of “Weekend Edition” – Saturday and Sundays from 7-10 AM.

And for those who need a little more relaxation in their schedule, there will also be an extra hour of jazz music Monday-Thursday starting at 8 PM and Saturdays starting at 7 PM.

And now for a list of discontinued shows… But don’t worry, although they won’t be heard through your radio, you can still live stream them online:

“A Prairie Home Companion”

Car Talk

World Café

Marketplace

It’s a bittersweet switch-up for this NPR lover, but it comes with lots of exciting new content to dive into. Let’s listen up, Bham!
