Alpha Xi Delta at UAB steps it up for Autism Speaks this Saturday

The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s greek life is well known for their high philanthropic goals. Among these chapters, Alpha Xi Delta has been a powerhouse for donations when it comes to their national philanthropy, Autism Speaks. They have proudly raised more than $30,000 in the last year alone. This Fall, they plan to step it up (with a 5k to be exact).

This Saturday, October 1st, these ladies will be hosting a walk/run benefitting Autism Speaks. Runners will go through a trail at Veterans Park to help raise awareness for the cause. There will be a resource fair with organizations to help provide more information to guests of the event. There will also be activities for children as well.

Location: Veteran’s Park

Registration begins at 9am, and the walk/run is at 10am and the registration fee is $25.

Our  chapter and alumnae association help raise autism awareness and funds throughout the year by participating in various philanthropy events such as our Step It Up 5k, Baked Xiti NIght, Get Lost with Alpha Xi Delta, and other awareness events on our campus and at other locations around the Birmingham area. I feel very proud to be a part of an organization like Alpha Xi Delta that brings awareness to such an important cause that affects millions people while also sharing happiness and joy to them.
