“Alabamians benefit when our entrepreneurs can turn innovative ideas into companies that create jobs,” Bentley said in a release.
Two (10) Alabama start-ups will compete for up to $250K on October 21st.
Birmingham companies in the competition include:
- Alasaw: converts urban lumber into elegant designs.
- Book-It Legal: an online marketplace connecting attorneys and law students.
- Koyote: a technology that makes it easy to track how people move through a city in real time.
- PatientPhotos.net: provides a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) online platform patient photos.
