Read Time 2 Minutes
Let’s be honest, Fall is on everyone’s mind right now.
In a state where we really know the true meaning of 4 seasons, I am confident that Fall is very much-anticipated.
You may be asking, “but what am I to do now? Summer’s over, work’s in overdrive, school’s in session, and the festivals have come and gone. Heck! Even the Barons season is coming to an end.”
Well I’m glad you asked! Here is your guide to having a successful Fall in Birmingham.
Take a Hike
Nooooo, not like that. Go out and explore the great outdoors! If I even tried to list all of the wonderful hiking adventures in Birmingham, I’d be here all day. So here’s BhamNow’s top 3: Ruffner Mountain, Oak Mountain State Park, and Moss Rock Preserve
Visit the Birmingham Zoo
If you like animals more than humans, the Birmingham Zoo is the place for you. No more annoying back sweat or over heating at the bear exhibit, it’s Fall now, so go and enjoy the nice walk around this Bham gem.
Tailgate on Saturdays
Leeeets get ready to rummmmble! It’s football season baby, and you know how we feel about football season…
Have a Bonfire
Let’s be honest, friends, family, hot cocoa, and a bonfire go perfect together. It’s just too dang hot for one in the summer, but hey it’s almost Fall now and we southerners love us a good fire!
Admire Five Points South
Whether there’s a block party, flash mob, or party going on down the street, Five Points South is one of Birmingham’s coolest places to hangout.
Check out the Red Mountain Zip Line
And some say that Birmingham doesn’t have much to offer. I mean, we have a zip line for goodness sake!
Go to Sloss Furnace for a Scary Adventure
Travel carefully as you enter the cities scariest adventure. Sloss Furnace really knows how to bring the terror in its annual haunted house.
