Senior Producer  – Commercial Lines Property & Casualty

S.S. Nesbitt, a leading insurance agency with multiple offices in the Southeast, is looking for an experienced Commercial Lines Producer to join our Birmingham, Alabama-based office. If you are a dynamic individual with a proven track record for outside sales success in our industry, we simply must meet you. We plan to expand our team by hiring a producer who is motivated to succeed quickly by building a profitable book of business and representing the agency in a professional manner in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business generation and manage the client relationship life-cycle from lead generation through proposal, and from closing to post-sales servicing
  • Identify and qualify prospects to create a robust pipeline of accounts ranging between $10K and $50K in agency revenue
  • Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities among existing clients with our employee benefits and personal lines groups
  • Develop deep relationships and participate in leadership roles within targeted industry/niche associations and community organizations
  • Collaborate with inside and outside partners to create compelling risk management programs that win new business
  • Work closely with our Vice President of Sales Management to set and achieve sales goals

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of experience in the insurance industry in a sales/production role
  • Alabama State P&C Insurance License
  • Ability to travel, mostly within state of Alabama

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced business degree
  • Proven experience working with C-Level executives
  • “Hunter” sales mentality
  • Public speaking experience
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
