Vulcan Aftertunes Fall Concert series continues to welcome the changing colors and cooler temperatures of autumn with the last concert of the month on the summit of Red Mountain.

If you haven’t had a chance to experience a relaxing Sunday listening is cool tunes, craft brews, and sweet views then head on up!

Join your friends and neighbors one last time this month at Birmingham’s Vulcan Aftertunes outdoor music event. With the new nip in the air, its a great time to grab a blanket and warm up to the out-of-the-box songwriting skills of Aaron Lee Tasjan.

Recently Rolling Stones magazine described Tasjan’s music like this:

“Instead of leaning on modern folk conventions and dreary tales scraped along the concrete by a weepy fiddle, Tasjan favors quirk, narrative detail and a stilted humor, often all in one song.”

Opening for Aaron at 2:30, is local sensation, folk rock artist Early James, whose fresh take on folk, blues, jazz and country is creating a buzz country-wide.

Vulcan Aftertunes will give you another chance to find your favorite local brews. Good People Brewing Co. will be pouring their local beer, along with Cigar City and Founders.

Here’s the scoop on tickets, times and guidelines:

• General admission: $18 in advance; $20 at the gate
• Member admission: $10 in advance; $12 at the gate
• Children $8; Ages 4 and under are free
• The gates open at 1 PM and admission includes access to the observation deck as well as the museum.

Besides great music and local brews, admission also includes an opportunity to explore this dynamic educational park and learn a little more about Alabama’s rich industrial history. Who would want to miss a chance to hang out with Birmingham’s very own original Iron Man?
