On September 27-28, Innovation Depot will host the International Association of Business Innovation (InBIA)’s annual Ecosystem Builders Forum. e.Builders Forum will celebrate Birmingham’s successes in building support for entrepreneurs.

What is e.Builders?

According to their website, the annual e.Builders Forum typically takes place in emerging U.S. cities and shines a spotlight on rural areas that are often overshadowed by entrepreneurial ecosystems.

This year’s e.Builders Forum will celebrate Birmingham’s major developmental progress. The forum will provide a platform for advanced ecosystem builders to engage in a deep peer-driven dialogue surrounding regionally-focused topics.

Accordingly, e.Builders will highlight Birmingham’s 2016 ranking as the #1 city for Millennial Founders.

Workshops

The first day of e.Builders will feature four half-day workshops led by industry leaders from the Southeastern U.S. region. All four workshop topics will cover the importance of why engaging with Millennials is crucial to the success of one’s city.

Topics include:

  • Keep It Local: How Innovation Depot, University of Alabama-Birmingham, and Other Partners Built a Powerful Bridge to Local Large Industry
  • Marketing Magic: How to Strengthen Your Brand and Differentiate Yourself in the Marketplace
  • Motivating Millennials for the Workplace
  • Robust Ecosystems in Rural Communities: The Success of the Technology Villages Model

On day two, various industry-specific networks will gather in smaller roundtable discussions to discuss critical infrastructure needs, advanced strategies, and hot topics relevant to the region and other rural communities. 

Attendees will select three, 1.5-hour sessions from the session grid below.

Innovation Depot’s President & CEO Devon Laney and TechBirmingham’s President & CEO Jennifer Skjellum will share what went into building their significant efforts in Birmingham.
