Here’s an event for cyclists to join in together. On Wednesday, the Birmingham Ride of Silence will start behind The Cahaba Cycles in Homewood at 7:00 P.M. Honor those injured or killed and also raise awareness for bicycles and the need for better cycling amenities.
All cyclists of all ages and riding abilities are welcomed to join in as long as you’re able to maintain 12 mph for around 9 miles. This will be a slow ride with a police escort to accompany you on your trip around Birmingham.
When and Where
- May 17, 2017 @ 7:00 – 7:45 P.M.
- The ride will roll down Highway 31 for a short distance, then on Lakeshore Drive, then back through Homewood/Edgewood.
Cahaba Cycles After Party
After the ride, everyone can join in at Dave’s Pizza for some pizza and beverages to celebrate the wonderful cycling community here in the ‘Ham!
