Beginning as a catering business, the Fig Tree Cafe has certainly been growing quite fast within the small Vestavia community, while “taking the pretentiousness out of fine dining”.

Although quaint and respectable small, which first enticed its regular customers, the expansion through renovations were carried out to meet future demand.

“What they do is special and unexpected…

The restaurant is hidden in Cahaba Heights and we like it that way, almost, so people don’t catch on.”

– Joe Terry, regular patron of Fig Tree said in the release

  • Doubled seating capacity

The executive chef and owner, JP Holland, is dedicated to a “farm-to-table” business model and wants to make it clear that his offerings are fresh & localized.

“Fig Tree Café’s secret weapon is the unassuming vibe and ever-changing menu. Customers enter the restaurant with zero expectations and walk out blown away.”

Fun fact, all the farming sources connected with Fig Tree Cafe are no more than an hour away from Birmingham.

Clearly freshness is not only a key to success, but a philosophy…
